crave student ministries

6th - 12th Grade

Welcome to CRAVE STUDENT MINISTRIES! At CRAVE, we do our best to create an environment where students seek to serve God, the One who is capable of transforming our lives. Through that life, we strive to be the change in a world that doesn’t know Jesus, by seeking the lost, ministering to those around us, and trying to be the example Jesus called us to be. Crave is also committed to repairing, stretching, and strengthening the family. And as a community of families, we seek to do the same in the world around us.

WEEKLY CONNECTION:

SUNDAYS: in our Crave Room (upstairs in the Family Center)

Join us on Sundays as we dive deep into God's Word and how it can not only shape our lives but the world around us. During small groups, we create an open atmosphere that allows us to discuss and ask the hard questions about faith.

      Middle School (grades 6 - 8)    11:00 am - Noon during 2nd service

      High School (grades 9 - 12)      6:00 - 7:30 pm

WEDNESDAYS: 6:00 - 7:30 pm in our Family Center

On Wednesday please join us for a community social time with fun, games and devotionals. This is a more laid back time for all students (grades 6 - 12) to gather and enjoy time together. We encourage our teens to bring friends that do not attend The Point.

UPCOMING EVENTS

FALL FLANNEL FEST: Sunday, October 27 - 5:30-8:00 pm

Please join us for our annual fall bonfire! It will be hosted once again by Joel and Becky Burbrink out at the Burbrink Farm (2402 E 950 S., Columbus, 47201). We will be providing dinner, hot drinks, hayride and entertainment! Please dress accordingly for the weather - we will use FB and Remind to give weather updates if necessary! Parents are more than welcome to attend.

To RSVP: All teens and parents who attend must fill out this waiver.

SWID LOCK-IN November 22 - 8:00 pm (depart from church) - November 23 - 9:00 am (return to church)

The Nazarene SouthWest Indiana District Lock-in is coming up! It is being held at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where we have access to their athletic facilities including the pool. There will be worship and speaking by Seventh Day Slumber for the opening service. The rest of the night will include pizza, pop, sports tournaments, inflatables, video games, and swimming. It costs $20 at the door, but The Point will cover $5 for any teens attending that register before November 1! If your teen has an account with our ministry we can pay for their registration out of their account.

Safety and security note: All adult volunteers for our church have already completed MinistrySafe background checks and Sexual Abuse Awareness Training, but the District requires this of all adults attending the event.

To Register: All teens who attend must have a parent fill out this waver.

To Pay: All teens must have money in prior to departing Nov 22. If you would like to drop off a check or cash at church, there is a lockbox on the wall outside of the Student Director office in the lobby. You may also go to "Give" on our website or the app, and choose "Student Ministry Payment" to pay!

On Sunday mornings, The Point has two worship services - one at 9:30 am and another at 11:00 am. We encourage our high school students to worship in one service and serve in a NextGen area in the other service. Middle schoolers are encouraged to serve in 1st service and attend the Middle School gathering during 2nd service. Please contact the church office at office@gotothepoint.com or 812-522-2060 for opportunities to serve.
